This has become increasingly true as corporations now have major stakes in global conflict and are able to influence outcomes of global politics and war. The Russo-Georgian War further blurred those lines when the Georgian government transferred Internet capabilities that were under attack to TSHost servers in the United States. Private cybersecurity firms and non-state sponsored hackers can influence diplomacy on a global scale due to the deep penetration of the internet into the military, critical infrastructure, and everyday society. This penetration has increased the effectiveness of information warfare and cyber espionage.</div> <ul class="links inline list-inline"><li class="node-readmore"><a href="/index.php/jrnl/art/evolution-chinas-cyber-threat" rel="tag" title="Evolution of China’s Cyber Threat" hreflang="en">Read more<span class="visually-hidden"> about Evolution of China’s Cyber Threat</span></a></li><li class="comment-forbidden"></li><li></li></ul> <h2>About the Author(s)</h2> <div class="views-element-container form-group"></div> </div> </article> Thu, 23 Sep 2021 09:21:50 +0000 Riley.C.Murray 139936 at http://archive.smallwarsjournal.com Office of the Director of National Intelligence: Global Trends 2040 http://archive.smallwarsjournal.com/blog/office-director-national-intelligence-global-trends-2040 <article data-history-node-id="139427" role="article" class="blog is-promoted teaser clearfix"> <h2> <a href="/index.php/blog/office-director-national-intelligence-global-trends-2040" rel="bookmark"><span>Office of the Director of National Intelligence: Global Trends 2040</span> </a> </h2> <footer> <article> <drupal-render-placeholder callback="masquerade.callbacks:renderCacheLink" arguments="0=75508" token="H6LBrGYXMcqRqnXmeALZPldAbNx4XlvHlu4E5bPmC5w"></drupal-render-placeholder></article> <div class="author"> <span>Mon, 04/12/2021 - 8:05am</span> </div> </footer> <div class="content"> <div class="field field--name-field-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field--item"><p>Published every four years since 1997, Global Trends assesses the key trends and uncertainties that will shape the strategic environment for the United States during the next two decades.</p> <p> </p> <p>https://www.dni.gov/index.php/gt2040-home/introduction</p> </div> <ul class="links inline list-inline"><li class="node-readmore"><a href="/index.php/blog/office-director-national-intelligence-global-trends-2040" rel="tag" title="Office of the Director of National Intelligence: Global Trends 2040" hreflang="en">Read more<span class="visually-hidden"> about Office of the Director of National Intelligence: Global Trends 2040</span></a></li><li class="comment-forbidden"></li><li></li></ul> </div> </article> Mon, 12 Apr 2021 12:05:01 +0000 Riley.C.Murray 139427 at http://archive.smallwarsjournal.com SWJ Book Review – Head of the Mossad: In Pursuit of a Safe and Secure Israel http://archive.smallwarsjournal.com/jrnl/art/swj-book-review-head-mossad-pursuit-safe-and-secure-israel <span>SWJ Book Review – Head of the Mossad: In Pursuit of a Safe and Secure Israel </span> <span><span>ZFTWARNING</span></span> <span>Sun, 03/28/2021 - 5:22pm</span> <div class="field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field--item">Review of Shabtai Shavit's "Head of Mossad: In Pursuit of a Safe and Secure israel" by Dr. Joshua Sinai.</div> <ul class="links inline list-inline"><li class="node-readmore"><a href="/index.php/jrnl/art/swj-book-review-head-mossad-pursuit-safe-and-secure-israel" rel="tag" title="SWJ Book Review – Head of the Mossad: In Pursuit of a Safe and Secure Israel " hreflang="en">Read more<span class="visually-hidden"> about SWJ Book Review – Head of the Mossad: In Pursuit of a Safe and Secure Israel </span></a></li><li class="comment-comments"><a href="/index.php/jrnl/art/swj-book-review-head-mossad-pursuit-safe-and-secure-israel#comments" title="Jump to the first comment." hreflang="en">2 comments</a></li><li class="comment-new-comments"><a href="/index.php/taxonomy/term/184/feed" class="hidden" title="Jump to the first new comment." data-history-node-last-comment-timestamp="1632398076" data-history-node-field-name="comment"></a></li><li class="comment-forbidden"></li><li></li></ul> Sun, 28 Mar 2021 21:22:46 +0000 ZFTWARNING 139347 at http://archive.smallwarsjournal.com SOF News: House Subcommittee on Intelligence and Special Operations http://archive.smallwarsjournal.com/blog/sof-news-house-subcommittee-intelligence-and-special-operations <article data-history-node-id="139158" role="article" class="blog is-promoted teaser clearfix"> <h2> <a href="/index.php/blog/sof-news-house-subcommittee-intelligence-and-special-operations" rel="bookmark"><span>SOF News: House Subcommittee on Intelligence and Special Operations</span> </a> </h2> <footer> <article> <drupal-render-placeholder callback="masquerade.callbacks:renderCacheLink" arguments="0=75508" token="H6LBrGYXMcqRqnXmeALZPldAbNx4XlvHlu4E5bPmC5w"></drupal-render-placeholder></article> <div class="author"> <span>Thu, 02/04/2021 - 1:53pm</span> </div> </footer> <div class="content"> <div class="field field--name-field-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field--item"><p>A new subcommittee under the U.S. House Armed Services Committee has been formed.
