MAJ Adam Scher is the battalion executive officer of 1-508th Parachute Infantry Regiment. He graduated the United States Military Academy in 2004 and Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs in 2013. He previously served as an Assistant Professor of American Politics in the Department of Social Sciences at West Point and has deployed to both Afghanistan and Iraq as a platoon leader, company commander, and battalion and brigade staff officer. He is published in The Washington Post, The Hill, Military Review, Task and Purpose, was a guest contributor to Tom Rick's Best Defense, and completed a TEDx talk on leadership.
