George M. Schwartz has been the Department Chair of Professional Studies at Immaculata University since 2014. The university is a Catholic, comprehensive, coeducational institution of higher education located in the Philadelphia suburbs.
Schwartz has an extensive professional background that includes higher education instruction, human resources management with Fortune 500 firms and service in the US Army. He has over 30 years of service as a commissioned officer in the active and reserve components. He currently serves in the Pennsylvania National Guard at the rank of Brigadier General as an Assistant Adjutant General, and simultaneously as the Deputy Commandant of the US Army War College in Carlisle, PA.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania, a Masters of Sciences in Human Resource Development from Villanova University, and a Masters in Strategic Studies from the US Army War College. He is completing a Doctorate in Education with a specialty in higher education at Immaculata University.
