Guillermo Macías is a Master of Science, University of Essex (United Kingdom) and specialist in Human Rights, American University (United States of America). He is an advisor on security and justice issues for the Public Prosecutor of the Republic of Guatemala and the Superintendence of Tax Administration of the same country. He is also a consultant for institutions in the field of public security in various Latin American countries—notably Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Brazil and Guatemala. He has served as counselor of the Institute of Access to Public Information in the State of Colima, Mexico, and as an international consultant for the USAID program. He currently works at the Vortex Foundation, where he holds the position of Head of Intelligence and Capacity Building, supporting prosecutors of various countries.
