يجب استخدام المبيدات الحشرية…
يجب استخدام المبيدات الحشرية والمركبات الكيميائية بإشراف من المختصين بإبادة الحشرات، حيث إنه كما ذُكر سابقاً تُقاوم حشرة الفراش العديد من المبيدات الحشرية، ومن المركبات الكيميائية التي يمكن استعمالها للقضاء على حشرة الفراش: البيريثين (بالإنجليزية: Pyrethins) المستخلص من زهرة الأقحوان، والبيريثرويد (بالإنجليزية: Pyrethroids) وهو المركب الكيميائي المعادل للبيريثين بالتركيبة الكيميائية، وهذه عبارة عن مبيدات الحشرية تعد الأكثر استعمالاً وفعالية في القضاء على البق، حيث إنها تعمل على تدمير الجهاز العصبي للحشرة وبالتالي قتلها، ولكن العديد من حشرات الفراش طورت نفسها لتصبح مقاومة لها، فهي غير مفيدة لسلالات حشرة الفراش المتطورة جداً. الكاربمات، وهي مركبات كيميائية أقوى من السابقة، ولكن الحشرات تطور نفسها لمقاومتها أيضاً.
