The US Army Irregular Warfare Fusion Center is pleased to host Lieutenant Colonel Mike Simmering, G3, 4th Infantry Division. As Commander of 1-67 Armor Battalion, LTC Simmering served in the Arghandab District of Kandahar Province, Afghanistan. He and his Operations Officer, Major Leo Wyszynski, co-authored a Small Wars Journal essay explaining the methodology used by CTF 1-67 to "Enable the Afghans to Take the Lead." LTC Simmering will discuss the methodology and offer other important insights from the deployment.
