Alejandro Duran was born in 1987 in Caracas, Venezuela. Growing up he always showed great interest in History and Military related topics. Having relatives with experience in both fields served as a strong inspiration from an early age. Witnessing, firsthand, Hugo Chavez’s led Military uprisings in 1992, further incentivized his interest in history, military, and politics. After taking several Sociology courses at the Andres Bello Catholic University in Venezuela, he moved to the U.S. in August 2007, where he ultimately earned his undergrad in Business Administration from Saint Leo University in 2011. After becoming a U.S. Citizen, in 2020, Alejandro Duran enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he currently serves with the Virginia Army National Guard as a Motor Transport Operator, and a standing member of Virginia’s 34th C.E.R.F.P. Unit. In addition to a career in the Tech Industry, Alejandro Duran is now pursuing a master’s degree in Political Sciences with a concentration in International Security at George Mason University.
