Lieutenant Colonel Daniel T. Canfield is an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps with operational experience in Haiti, Liberia, the Arabian Gulf, Iraq, and northern Helmand Province, Afghanistan. He holds a MA in history from North Carolina State University and several advanced degrees from the Marine Corps University and the US Army War College. He currently serves in the J5 at US Northern Command in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
