Colonel Michael J. Forsyth is commander of the 196th Infantry Brigade. He taught Introduction to Military Theory at the U.S. Air Force Academy and holds three master's degrees; Military History from Louisiana State University, Military Art and Science from the School of Advanced Military Studies at Leavenworth, and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.
