Major General Wayne W. Grigsby Jr., U.S. Army, is the former Commanding General of CJTF-HOA. His most recent assignments include Director for Army Training, Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3/5/7; Deputy Commanding General of Operations, 1st Armored Division; Director of the Mission Command Center of Excellence, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; and the Director of the School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS). He graduated from Salisbury State University, and earned his Master’s Degrees in Military Arts and Science from SAMS and in National Security Strategy from the National Defense University. He has been selected as the Commanding General of the 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas.
