The American Security Project (ASP) is a non-profit, non-partisan public policy and research organization based in Washington, D.C. Founded in 2007, ASP’s stated goals include fostering knowledge and understanding of a range of national security issues, promoting debate about the appropriate use of American power, and cultivating strategic responses to 21st-century challenges. ASP researches and publishes a variety of topics framed as issues vital to the national security debate, including on American competitiveness, energy and climate, terrorism, nuclear security, and national security strategy.
