SWJ Up and Running

I was in a mandatory evacuation zone so me, my two dogs and two cats left just before the storm arrived on the mainland for a house nearby that wasn't. Long story short - just arrived back home, no damage and the electric power was still on. The eye passed just east of me and that seemed to make a world of difference (east vs. west side of a hurricane). My best wishes and thoughts are with those nearby who bore the brunt of Irma's march north.

I spent some time in the mandatory evacuation zone when Dorian arrived. The mandatory evacuation zone was very large. My area was not predicted to go underwater but we are prone to flooding so they evacuated us anyway. It was a good call, although it wasn't as bad as they feared. We got an inch or so of rain and had some wind but that's it. During my stay there, I continue reading more to find the best five anti-bullying apps. I properly used my spare time.

Glad to hear you and yours are safe and OK.

Have a brother in Homestead (who was there also for Andrew) -- who said that he lost power -- but only for a day or so. This could have been so much worse.

Best wishes as the recovery -- for much of the entire state of Florida it would seem -- goes forward.
